Learn why hearing aids are not enough when determining accommodations for a client with hearing loss. If you don’t consider all the functional needs, you can severely limit the potential solutions available to meet the varied communication demands of workplace environments. We’ll start with the basics of hearing loss, understanding audiograms and discuss hearing aid technologies and implants. Assistive listening systems are discussed, digital streamers are explained and potential alerting systems for work environments are shared.
