CLICK Institute Information
Training:
Over a period of 18 months the CLICK will include:
- Face-to-Face Lecture
- Self-Directed Activities
- Web-based Activities
- Roundtable Discussion Groups on the Phone
- Individual Development Assignments
- Discovery Learning through Immersion/Simulation
CLICK is for:
The institute is designed for rehabilitation professionals who wish to develop their leadership potential and make their own unique contribution to their agency or organization. Each cohort includes a mix of professionals who may be from state VR programs, Tribal VR programs, Community Rehabilitation, Centers for Independent Living and Leaders of Advocacy Organizations CLICK Application: A total of 25 participants will be selected from the five-state region of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Your participation in the CLICK must be approved at the agency level. Your application will then be referred to the U of A CURRENTS and we will notify you of registration information upon your acceptance into the program.
CLICK Faculty:
Instructors for the institute will be nationally recognized in the management field with knowledge of rehabilitation and disability. In addition, CURRENTS staff will serve as instructors for select content and will provide coordination, coaching and facilitation throughout the six sessions.
Your Investment:
Costs for the program include a one-time materials fee of $500 and a registration fee of $250 per session. The total of $2000 is due upon registration for the six-class series. Hotel accommodations will be provided by the U of A CURRENTS through US Department of Education grant #H264 A030005-07. The registration fee represents approximately one third of the actual cost of the CLICK program.
Requirement for Credit:
Attendance for the total of six sessions, active participation and successful completion of assignments will lead to a Certificate of Completion from CURRENTS. CRC credits are available upon request and 3 hours of graduate credits may be earned through the University of Arkansas.
