TACE Centers

Technical Assistance and Continuing Education (TACE) Centers
TACE Centers are funded by the Rehabilitative Services Administration (RSA) to provide technical assistance and continuing education to State vocational rehabilitation (VR) agencies and their partners, including Centers for Independent Living, Client Assistance Programs and Community Rehabilitation Programs. TACE Centers have expertise in the following areas: improvement of  VR agency service delivery, practices and interventions related to specific VR populations; quality assurance; case management at the administrative and counselor level; the use of assistive technology to achieve employment goals; personnel management; fiscal management; data management; communication skills development; development of individualized plans for employment; development of VR State plans; strategic planning.

The Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) has awarded one TACE Center contract for each of the 10 RSA regions of the United States. The links below will connect you to these programs.

Disability Business Technical Assistance Programs (DBTACs): (Disability and Business Technical Assistance Centers (DBTAC's) The National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) has established ten regional centers to provide information, training, and technical assistance to employers, people with disabilities, and other entities with responsibilities under the ADA. The centers act as a "one-stop" central, comprehensive resource on ADA issues in employment, public services, public accommodations, and communications. Each center works closely with local business, disability, governmental, rehabilitation, and other professional networks to provide ADA information and assistance. Programs vary in each region, but all centers provide Technical Assistance, Education and Training, Materials Dissemination, Information and Referral, Public Awareness and Local Capacity Building.)
