The LeadVR National Training Academy facilitates learning through empowerment, accountability, and decision-making in vocational rehabilitation. The training offers rehabilitation participants the opportunity to explore the current and future face of VR leadership and address challenges in streamlining the VR process, recruitment and retention, and increasing public awareness of VR.

Session 1: Introduction to Supervisory Leadership (Virtual) (February 20th, 2024, 11 am CST)
In this 4-hour virtual session, LeadVR participants introduce themselves and share their greatest accomplishments, meet LeadVR faculty, get an overview of LeadVR curriculum, project work, and expectations, and discuss their greatest challenges in streamlining VR processes, recruitment, and retention, and increasing public awareness of VR services. Participants will complete a 360 evaluation prior to the in-person session.
Session 2: In-Person Training (In Person) (March 19-21, 2024, San Antonio, TX)
During this in-person three-day face-to-face intensive session (Holiday Inn San Antonio Riverwalk), participants increase their understanding of how supervisory performance impacts the VR agency, field unit, and individual staff, increase their understanding of fiscal and policy decision making, build a support network for frontline agency leadership, apply tools for increased accountability, and establish professional development plans to apply learning in an agency setting.

Session 3: Small Group Coaching and Accountability Group Meetings (Virtual)
Held over the course of several weeks, Small Group Coaching and Accountability Group meetings focus on creating personal leadership development action plans and supporting mutual accountability. (Coaching dates: March 29, April 3 & April 17, 2024)
Session 4: Work Sessions and Accountability Group Meetings (Virtual)
Participants work with faculty to identify strategies for long-term organizational change based on critical issues identified in the three-day face-to-face intensive session. (Work Session Dates TBA by Faculty)
Session 5: Graduation and Presentation (Virtual May 30th, 2024, @ 11 am CST)
Participants present their strategic findings for organizational change and their personal leadership development plans and receive their certificate of completion in graduation recognition.
Accommodations: The deadline for requesting accommodations is February 5, 2024.
Registration Cost: $2,200
The cost is $2,200 per person. Participants will be responsible for travel costs associated with the face-to-face sessions.
